Without a doubt it was the location. Our corner lot on a quiet cul-de-sac, has a completely fenced yard making it perfect for children and pets. Shopping, dining and I-95 are all within easy driving distance. The community is located in the Bel Air school district, a real plus for us.
What are improvements that really added value to
your home?
What changed our builder’s colonial to a stately colonial
was all about curb appeal. We installed
a portico over the front door, wrapped the foundation in stone, upgraded the
windows, replaced the roof and professionally landscaped the bank and retaining
wall next to the driveway. By adding the
sunroom to the back of the house we gave ourselves a quiet, serene place to
relax all year long. We upgraded the
vinyl flooring in the kitchen and bathrooms to ceramic tile and added ceiling
fans throughout the house.
What is your favorite feature of your house?
By far, the sunroom! There is so much light. Since it’s fully heated and cooled, we use it all year. It really makes entertaining easy and fun.

Where do you love to dine and shop?
Every national chain restaurant you can imagine is within a 5-mile radius of our house. But we love the offerings at the independently owned restaurants. Our favorites are the Capellini Aragosta at Scotto’s, the Kobe Burger at Bellisimo’s and the homemade Baklava at Greek Village.
We are a stones throw from the Safeway and Wegman’s. In addition to department stores, movies and national chains, like Dick’s Sporting Goods and DSW, there are small independently owned shops in the town of Bel Air when you want something a bit different.
What are things you love about your town?
Bel Air is a great place for families. There are activities galore, like the 4th of July activities, parades, fireworks, the Bel Air Barbecue Bash and the Ma & Pa Biking/Walking Path. And you can’t beat the school district. Our Glenwood Garth Community is very cohesive and our neighbors are great.
